Hello, I'm Nicole!

Nicole’s yoga journey began in the 1990s when she discovered the profound mental and physical benefits of the practice. Her love for yoga remained unwavering, even as she navigated the challenges of young motherhood and a significant spinal injury. Rather than opting for surgery, Nicole immersed herself in yogic methods to overcome her challenges.

My Story

My dedication and passion for yoga culminated in becoming a certified yoga teacher in 2009, specialising in yoga for anxiety and depression on the NSW Central Coast. My commitment to mental wellness extended beyond teaching as I founded a Not-For-Profit organization dedicated to promoting youth mental wellness through school and community programs. In 2019, my yogic studies were deepened with a Diploma of Yoga Teaching.

The move to the scenic Upper Hunter during the Covid pandemic marked a turning point in my life, offering a more spacious and fulfilling lifestyle. I have found my happy place in this vibrant community and am honored to share the transformative power of yoga with those around me.

My journey is a testament to the healing and empowering effects of yoga, and I am dedicated to helping others find their own paths to wellness and peace.

Beyond The Mat

When I'm not guiding others through their yoga practice, you can find me with my hands deep in the soil, tending to my garden where I grow much of what nourishes my body and soul. My love for the earth runs deep – it's where I find my truest self, whether I'm wandering the ancient songlines that crisscross my farm with my faithful dogs by my side, or simply sitting quietly amongst my beloved animals.

My farm is home to quite the menagerie – two cheeky pet sheep who know they're spoiled, a gentle steer and heifer who've become part of the family, and a wonderfully chaotic flock of chooks and guinea fowl who keep life interesting with their boisterous antics. Each morning, I move amongst them with the same mindful presence I bring to my yoga practice, understanding that caring for these creatures is just another form of meditation.

This deep connection to nature and animals isn't separate from my yoga journey – it's woven into the very fabric of who I am. It's why I created Highland Adventure Hideaways, my rustic off-grid campground where visitors come to strip away the noise of modern life and reconnect with what truly matters. Whether they're seeking to strengthen bonds with loved ones or simply need space to rejuvenate their weary souls, my land offers them the same raw, authentic healing that has shaped my own path.

My life is beautifully unpolished – muddy boots, morning animal feeds, and the simple joy of watching the sunrise over my land with a cup of tea in hand. This is the foundation from which my yoga teaching flows: real, grounded, and deeply connected to the rhythms of the earth.
